The Dahab
Marine Research Center (DMRC), located at the South
Sinai Peninsula, provides facilities and logistic
research in the whole Red Sea. It is equipped with 2 classrooms
(including several
exhibits and optical devices), dry and wet laboratories with
running seawater, aquaculture facilities,
office space and a library.
Next to university
and school excursions of international institutes, on-site supervision and logistic support
of scientific projects by marine biologists, the DMRC offers courses on
reef ecology, biologically guided dives, tours to the fossil reefs and the National Parks Nabq and Ras Mohammed.
All projects at
the DMRC are conducted in close coordination with the
Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA),
the concerned national park authorities and in cooperation with
the local communities. The association is grateful to the
Dive Center
DiveIn
Dahab for its co-operation and financial support.

NEWS - THE DMRC EXPANDS TO NEW
LOCATION
Both the Dive In and the DMRC have moved next
door to the Lagona Hotel. The move has enabled
us to expand the DMRC into its own separate
facilities. Only a short 50-meter walk away from
the dive center, the new location provides an
ideal setting for both privacy and convenience.
One of the biggest highlights of the move
is a continuous sea water supply system, both
indoor and outdoor.
